We are a small yet passionate team who had a vision to bring a relaxed dining experience to the Barossa with simple, good quality food... and bloody good steak.

We believe in honest food done well, and we love the flavours from the char grill. This is where our food philosophy begins, together with fresh seasonal produce sourced locally wherever possible.

the char grill offers versatile dining that is never over-complicated.
We delight in pairing our food with wonderful regional wines, showcasing the many nuances of the Barossa.
For winemakers and distillers, we love the change in flavour that can happen from the process of charring or toasting a barrel, changing the nature of the oak itself to alter the reaction between wood, whiskey or wine.
